The Precision Periodontics & Dental Implants team is led by Ryan L. Mendro, DDS, MS. Dr. Mendro is an experienced, board-certified periodontist whose practice is focused exclusively on the placement of dental implants and the treatment of gum diseases. Since he is a specialist with years of periodontal and implant experience, you can expect exceptional care and the latest state-of-the-art treatment.

Dr. Mendro, a Florida native, received his baccalaureate in nutrition from the University of Florida. Afterward, he received his dental degree from Columbia University in New York. Dr. Mendro later returned to the University of Florida, where he went on to complete an additional three-year specialty residency program in periodontics and his Masters of Science degree.

Dr. Mendro is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He is also a courtesy faculty member at the University of Florida, where he volunteers and teaches periodontics. Dr. Mendro is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art treatment in a warm and friendly environment. He has remained active in the dental community and serves as a member in several professional organizations, including:

Lucia Roca Mendro, DDS, MDS

Lucia Roca Mendro, DDS, MDS, is an experienced, board-certified periodontist. She focuses on her specialty training in all aspects of gum disease, bone augmentation procedures, and the placement of dental implants.

With both her parents being dentists, dentistry comes naturally to Dr. Roca Mendro. After receiving her dental degree at Francisco Marroquín University, Dr. Roca Mendro continued her advanced education at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. She later went on to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/Rutgers where she completed her residency in periodontics and her Master of Science degree.

Dr. Roca Mendro is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. She is a published author and is active in the local dental community as well as abroad, helping individuals receive dental care in rural villages of Guatemala. She speaks Spanish and Italian. Dr. Roca Mendro serves as a member to organizations, including:

Natalia Besada, DMD, MS

Dr. Natalia Besada was born and raised in Miami, Florida, from a Colombian-Cuban background. She moved to Orlando, where she attended the University of Central Florida. At UCF, Dr. Besada was actively involved in pre-dental association and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in molecular microbiology.

Dr. Besada proceeded to attend the University of Florida College of Dentistry for her Doctorate in Dental Medicine. At the University of Florida, she was awarded the Quintessence Award for academic achievement in periodontology. Dr. Besada then continued her education and completed her specialization at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. At UNC, she obtained her certification in intravenous conscious sedation and master’s degree in periodontology, focusing her thesis on DNA-methyltransferase inhibitors effect on epithelial barrier function.

Having started her pre-dental career in central Florida, Dr. Besada decided to move back and provide her services in the community. Passionate about her field, she is trained and practices all aspects of periodontology, including treatment of periodontal disease, implant placement and surgical cosmetic procedures.
